In Convergence, I use Truchet tiles as a system of spatial compression. Large modules begin at the outer edges of the composition and gradually shift into tiles half their size toward the centre. This change of scale creates a sense of depth, inward movement, and perspective, even though the work remains entirely flat.
For me, Convergence is an image of concentration. Repetition, rhythm, and fragmented order are drawn into a central point of tension. Gold lines on a black surface become traces of light moving inward. Geometry is no longer ornament; it becomes a way to show perception moving from surface to depth, from controlled chaos to a condensed form.
